Our Research
The Mayer lab is a junior group established at TUM in 2024, and an independent professorship since December 2025. Our research is conducted at the interface of physical organic chemistry and catalysis research. By obtaining deep mechanistic insights into the investigated chemistries through the synergy of (high-throughput) experimentation, computations, and data science, we aim to uncover general principles that contribute to our understanding of complex catalytic processes in organic chemistry, or processes central to Life.
